A Tree with a Tale

There is a trend that is moving away from the traditional consensus that a photo has to portray the world realistically and is now acceptable to express more freely. Instead of using a computer to make a photo look like a painting, I have developed the world’s first method to do so purely using a camera.

A light is known to travel straight but as one can see in a shadow, when a light encounters an impenetrable object, it diffracts. This means that in certain situations, the light doesn’t travel straight, and I believe my shooting method works similarly.

After taking a countless number of photographs, I arrived at the conclusion that as the light diffracts inside the camera, a repetition and reflection occurs and the photo is expressed like an overlaid painting and becomes a dreamlike fog but I don’t know the exact mechanism.

The iris of the camera amplifies the effects of diffraction and as you move the camera while taking a picture, a morphed image is formed. This cannot be done with the camera movement alone but must accompany the appropriate amount of light and the right camera settings to truly allow the light to deflect inside and cause a repetition to complete a painting like photo.

I speculate that the phenomenon of one object overlapping as multiple objects or becomes separated into two independent images is caused by the light going through multiple iris holes. However, the camera that I use is a regular camera with only one iris hole.

This phenomenon may result from the light travelling in the exact same direction as the movement of the camera for a split second and the light goes through the changed location of the iris multiple times and forms several images or two similar images that look like they have been taken with multiple shots.

More research is needed.
