A book by Yoon Sang-min (68), a photographer who is also known as a “physicist”. It is also the third book in the “Korean Photography 100” series.

The official title of this book is'Magical Photo-A Tree whith a Tale' and the English title is'Magical Photo-A Tree whith a Tale'.

The author, an otorhinolaryngologist and photographer, has developed a free and independent work, freeing from the conventional wisdom that'photos should be realistic expressions'. He created the world's first technique of expressing pictures like pictures using only the movement of a pure camera without the intervention of computer work, and is using it in his work.

Everyone knows that the light goes straight, but the author twists and turns even this common sense. The author said, “I think that the conclusions obtained from taking many pictures so far are that the bends, overlaps, and reflections of light occur inside the camera, and the light is bent, expressed as a paint over a picture, and a dreamlike expression like a fog appears.” I don't know the mechanism.”

In the book's author note, the author says, "There is no tree without a story." Trees don't make a fuss when warm spring arrives, and trees are the ones they don't avoid even if they are thrown out in the cold winter. The tree is just quietly preparing it as it can. And the warm spring breeze's gratitude and the cold winter breeze's patience are deeply engraved in the trunk rings.

The tree grows into fragments of the years that have been engraved while standing in one place for a long time to observe not only changes in nature but also the joys and sorrows of humans.

The author looks deep into many trees through the finder and presses the shutter fiercely to achieve abstract results. For him, abstraction starts from omitting detailed realistic expressions. According to the author, "subtracting is another addition and omission is another creation." Photography is a realistic art of expression, but the author omits'very much' and abstracts the details of the subject.

Author Yoon Sang-min debuted as an artist in the United States earlier than in Korea through an invitation to the Dark Room Gallery in the United States. 'Photos from the Future (Gyeongin Museum of Art, 2017)','Magic Photos 2018 (Gyeongin Museum of Art, 2018)','Korean National Assembly Invitation Solo Exhibition (2019)','Sun Art Space Solo Exhibition (Beijing, China 2019)', ' Through a number of solo exhibitions and group exhibitions, such as'Tamne Gallery's Invitational Solo Exhibition (Namyangju, 2020)' and'Caforet Gallery's Invitational Solo Exhibition (Yangpyeong, 2020)', he has presented its own photographic art world to the public.

His books include ``Photos from the Future (2016, Youngchang Publishing House),'' ``Magic Pictures (2017, Youngchang Publishing House),'' and ``Magic Photo-2018 (Youngchang Publishing House, 2018),'' and judged at the 2019 Seoul Peace International Art Festival. He served as vice-chairman, professor of otorhinolaryngology at the Catholic University of Medicine, and Yoon Sang-min as director of the Otorhinolaryngology Clinic.

He is currently the chairman of the Korea-China Art Association and is working as a full-time photographer.
